Job Templates

A Job Template is a recipe for a common service. Creating a job from one fills in the description, required skills, estimated duration, default checklists, and default line items, so the same work goes out the same way every time.
Why use them
- Consistency: every "Annual furnace tune-up" reads the same.
- Speed: a few clicks to a fully formed job.
- Scheduling accuracy: required skills and estimated duration feed the slot finder, so it sizes the slot and gates techs correctly.
- Quality: auto-attached checklists mean nothing gets skipped.
Template fields
- Name and trade tag.
- Default description.
- Required skills (gates the slot finder).
- Estimated duration in minutes (sizes the slot finder's window).
- Default line items.
- Default checklists.
Vertical pack templates
Each shipped pack includes 8 to 9 templates with skills and duration already filled in, for example HVAC's "AC Capacitor Replacement" or Plumbing's "50-gal Gas WH Install".
Who manages them
Admins and Managers create and edit templates. They are reachable from the Operations group and from Settings -> Data.
