What the HVAC pack adds: custom fields, job templates, services, checklists.

The HVAC pack tunes Manuall for heating, cooling, ductwork, and refrigerant work. Apply it at signup (the Trade dropdown) or anytime from Settings -> Vertical Packs.

What the pack adds

Custom fields

  • Customer: Equipment Brand, Membership Status, Last Service Date, Preferred Technician.
  • Job: Refrigerant Type, Refrigerant Pounds Added, AHRI Reference Number.
  • Equipment: BTU Rating, SEER Rating, Filter Size, Last Maintenance.

Job templates

Spring AC Tune-Up, Furnace Fall Tune-Up, AC Diagnostic, Furnace Diagnostic, Refrigerant Recharge, Filter Replacement, Heat Exchanger Inspection, and System Replacement. Each ships with an estimated duration and required skills (refrigerant work carries a Refrigerant skill), so the slot finder sizes the slot and gates techs from day one.

Services

A price book of common HVAC services, all tagged [REVIEW PRICING]: Diagnostic Service Call, AC and Furnace Tune-Ups, Refrigerant Recharge (per lb), Capacitor Replacement, Smart Thermostat, Coil Cleaning, a Silver Maintenance Plan, and more. They're 2025 U.S. national averages; set your own prices before quoting.

Checklists

Three, all tagged [REVIEW BEFORE USE]: AC Spring Tune-Up, Furnace Fall Tune-Up, and a Pre-Service Safety Check.

Typical workflow

  1. Net-new leads land via Public Booking from your website.
  2. Capacitor, no-cool, and refrigerant calls dominate summer; tune-ups dominate spring and fall.
  3. System replacements ($5K to $15K) go out as estimates with a deposit (20 to 30% is common).
  4. Maintenance plans are recurring jobs (twice a year) wrapped in a Service Contract.
  5. Membership Status drives the Member price tier on the Price Book.

Compliance to watch

  • EPA 608 certification for refrigerant work (per tech).
  • Your state HVAC license.
  • General liability and workers comp.

Track these in Compliance; the dashboard surfaces 30-day expiry warnings.

  • +20% on AC repair, June to August.
  • -15% on furnace inspections, April to May.
  • +10% on emergency after-hours calls, year-round.

Re-applying and mixing packs

Running HVAC and want to add Plumbing? Settings -> Vertical Packs -> Plumbing -> Apply. Both coexist; the pack only adds what's missing, so your customizations stay.
